Martin's Project Cars - Turbo Datsun 1600 / 180B SSS
Update 17th July 2003
I am soon to be removing the FJ20 from my 180B SSS to be installed in the 1600,
I have purchased a S2 bluey motor (pictured to replace the FJ) which I will
be putting in the 180B to be my daily driver. The pictures below are of the
motor, computer, subu intercooler, and the oil air separator.

Update 24th March 2003
My plans have changed slightly, I'm planning on keeping the 180b together for now, it only requires a pink slip so I will get it re-registered while I'm building my 1600. Then once I get the 1600 body sprayed & assembled with everything including interior, I'll decide whether to wreck the 180b and put the FJ into the 1600, or just purchase an SR20DET to install.

I pulled the motor and box out about 2 weeks ago, and I'm continuing to strip the car. I'll be removing the rear crossmember for cleaning and spraying, then I'll be moving the car to my mate's dad's house (he is a rust repair guru), where he will be patching the body repairs which are minimal as it is. Then on to the spray booth. I'm currently storing the car at my Grandma's house (thanks Grandma) which is in Lake Macquarie but soon I will be bringing it back to my house to get it fully underway.

More Information:
"I have recently purchased
a donor car (180bss fj20 turbo) from
a friend for a very good price, which
I will provide photos of as soon as
they become available. I hope to have
the car realistically running by around
July. The only thing holding it back
is paint and lack of funds for paint.
I have certain car parts that I no
longer need and will be selling to
fund the spray job. Once sprayed it's
only time holding me back."
