The term valve train generally refers to the piece of your motor that control the operation of the valves including rocker arms, valve springs, valve stem seals, pushrods, and the intake/exhaust valves themselves. These components are all crucial to the function of your motor, and they are also a great place to gain a little extra power with the right upgrades. Larger valves, stronger valve springs and high-ratio rocker arms can all significantly improve air flow, and thus make more power.
