In your owner's manual there is usually a factory replacement interval. If you fail to replace your timing belt before it breaks, it can cause catastrophic damage to your motor that is expensive to repair. Here at Andy's Auto Sport we have a full selection of Cadillac Eldorado timing belts from all of the leading brand names. Most OEM Cadillac Eldorado timing belts are made of standard rubber. It is good for its flexibility, but over time it wears down, stretches and cracks which can lead to your belt jumping a tooth and throwing off the timing, or worse, the belt breaking. Fortunately there are upgraded Cadillac Eldorado timing belts available made of stronger materials such as Kevlar or specially formulated rubbers. With these advanced materials, belt life is significantly extended, and you can drive with piece of mind knowing that your timing belt will not slip or break in a critical situation. When it comes time to replace your timing belt it is a good idea to upgrade to a high-performance unit.

Q: How do you install a timing belt?
A: Timing belts should be left to the pros. Removal of your valve cover will need to take place. The engine should be timed after installation to make sure it's timed correctly, if not you can bend your valves.

Q: What is a timing belt? Why buy a timing belt?
A: A timing belt (also known as a timing chain or cam belt) is a part of an internal combustion engine that controls the timing of the engines' valves and camshafts. Factory timing belts get worn over time and should be replaced with high performance units. High performance units feature better durability, slip resistance and abrasion resistance than stock belts.
