Limited Slip Differentials

An aftermarket Audi 80 differential can substantially improve your vehicle's performance, ensuring that your drive wheels get the proper amount of traction at any given time. This is especially important if you depend on your vehicle to handle consistently through turns without excessive wheel slip, or in racing situations such as circuit, drag, or off-road racing. The bottom line is, your Audi 80 vehicle isn't truly high-performance unless it's rockin' a limited-slip differential.

Most, if not all, exotic sports cars and heavy-duty trucks employ some sort of limited-slip differential to improve traction during less-than-ideal conditions, but the same technology is also available to those of us with Audi 80 vehicles that weren't equipped with a limited-slip differential (also known as an LSD) from the factory. Various types of Audi 80 locking differentials are available, including clutch-type and Torsen-type, as well as air-actuated "locker" differentials, which give the driver complete control over when the diff is locked to the axles.
