WHY TO BUY?
A new Porsche carburetor offers unprecedented reliability in a traditional package, and carburetor manufacturers have continued to develop and refine their products for ease of use and maximum power gains with "out-of-the-box" usability. Of course, carburetors can still be fine-tuned with each manufacturer's proprietary jets, so even though most of today's Porsche carburetors are ready to use as they are, you can still squeeze every last bit of power out of your ride with some more testing and tuning.

Ever since fuel injection became the norm several years ago, Porsche carburetors have become a sort of mystery to many performance enthusiasts. Yes, fuel injection is awesome, but there's something to be said for keeping a classic vehicle true to its roots and embracing the world of float bowls, jets, and vacuum secondaries. Most performance Porsche carburetor manufacturers offer both "street" and "race" carburetors, although most street versions can certainly handle the occasional quarter-mile pass.
