A: A wire loom is a part designed to help dress up your engine bay by keeping your wires properly routed and separated. Looms can be either an external sheath that wraps around your existing wiring or they can be separators that clip around your wires to keep them impeccably organized and appropriately spaced apart. If you have done any rewiring under the hood you know that the new wires can sometimes look like a rats nest when you are done. With wire looms your wires will be easy to find and organized giving your car a great professional appearance without costing a lot of money. Wiring looms are also perfect for ignitions leads. When spark plug wires touch each other or come in contact with metal they can sometimes cross fire or send spark to ground instead of to the spark plug. This costs you in both efficiency and power. With wire looms your ignition wires will stay separated and send all the juice where it is supposed to go, to the engine.
