The thinking was it was safer to get thrown clear of the accident rather than being pinned inside the vehicle. However, now vehicles are truly safety cages and numerous studies have proven that a good seat belt system is the best way to survive an accident. In addition to safety, Chrysler PT Cruiser seat harnesses also give you improved vehicle control. By keeping you firmly attached to your seat it is easier to feel how the vehicle is moving and respond accordingly. We also dig the race car look that you get when your run a set of seat harnesses in your ride.

Q: Why buy a seat harness?
A: A seat harness is another word for a seat belt. But seat harnesses are generally designed with high-performance racing in mind. The seat belt that comes factory on your car is not designed for super high-speed encounters per se; rather it's designed for normal driving conditions. If you're at the race track, you want to be as safe as possible driving at super high speeds. Having a 4-point or 5-point race seat harness can be the difference in protecting your life! Aside from the safety feature, it gives your car a custom race look, even if used on a daily driver.

Q: Are your seat harnesses a street-legal replacement for my seat belts?
A: No, they are not street legal or DOT-approved. All harnesses are strictly for offroad and track use, so if you want to be able to use your vehicle for normal street driving too then you should keep your factory seat belts to use for those driving situations.
