A: Radiator covers can be either cosmetic or functional. Cosmetic covers are dress-up items that fit over the top of the radiator tank and come in different finishes, such as carbon fiber, to give your engine bay a unique custom look. Functional radiator covers are also available and serve several different purposes. Some covers mount on top of the radiator to fill gaps between the radiator and your engine bay in order to ensure that air flows through the radiator instead of escaping around it. Other covers are designed to mount in front of the radiators and provide protection from rocks, debris and bugs, while still letting air circulate through the radiator. Radiator covers are also affordable making them an easy upgrade for the enthusiast on a budget.
