Over the years your ring and pinion may wear down and eventually fail rendering your ride useless. It is also possible that you might want to change your gear ratio for better performance on the track or on the trail. In either case you will need to get yourself a ring and pinion kit. These kits contain a ring gear and a pinion gear in the ratio of your choice as well as all of the necessary components to install the gears. It is important to note that this is a complex mechanical installation that requires an experienced and properly trained tech.
