AWE Tuning's ColdFront Reservoir is CNC machined from 6061 billet aluminum and plumbs directly into the heat exchanger coolant system on the 8R Q5/SQ5 3.0T to increase supercharger coolant capacity. The true flow-through design reduces coolant temps as fluid passes through the unit, supporting lower intake air temperatures. It works with the factory heat exchanger or alongside other ColdFront components, and includes an anodized aluminum cap laser etched with the AWE logo.

Q: What is a coolant tank? Why buy one?
A: Coolant tanks are external reservoirs that are used to catch and store excess coolant that may be forced out of your radiator when temperatures and pressures are high. With coolant tanks, instead of having fluid spray all over your engine bay and onto the ground, it is forced into a coolant tank where it can then be sucked back into the radiator once temperatures lower again. These tanks are extremely high-quality units, normally made of polished aluminum, that can be mounted virtually anywhere under the hood.
