Fitting a short-throw quickshift gearshift lever reduces the distance required to shift gears from one ratio to the other, this makes changing gears a more natural 'flick of the wrist' gearshifting is more positive and direct, and takes away the feeling of having to 'row' the car along by the gearstick. AVO's Short shifter has a unique feature where you can fine tune the throw distance with a easy adjustment upon Install.

Q: What's the difference between a single bend shifter and a dual bend shifter?
A: The dual bend shifter sits closer to the driver and is the option we see most people going with when it's available for their vehicles.
Q: How do you install a short shifter?
A: Short shifters are installed by removing your factory shift lever from your transmission. Your center console will have to be removed along with your shift boot and shift knob in order to access the lower part of your shifter mechanism. Once removed, the short shifter should be directly bolted in and everything should be re-assembled. Instructions are included and installation takes around 30 minutes with ordinary hand tools.

A: Short shifters are vehicle specific and are not universal. They are not available for any automatic transmission vehicles.
