The module uses this signal to open and close the ground circuit to the ignition coil to fire the spark plugs. Aftermarket performance ignition modules also control timing advance and retard, which can have an impact on your car's performance. Two more great features in some modules are the rev limits! There are two rev limiters on your car: one for high end over-rev protection and another you can activate off a clutch or transbrake to set a launch limit.
