Austin-Healey Fuel Tanks

Your fuel system is important for both the safety and performance of your vehicle. From a performance standpoint, a clogged or dirty fuel tank can cause a huge assortment of running problems from lean mixture to a car that simply will not start. On the safety side of things a leaky Austin-Healey fuel tank is an extreme fire hazard that is putting your life in jeopardy. The simple fix to both of these problems is to purchase a brand new Austin-Healey fuel tank. Here at Andy's Auto Sport we have a large selection of Austin-Healey fuel tanks for you to choose from. Whether you want a stock replacement or a high-capacity unit, you are sure to find the perfect Austin-Healey fuel tank for your needs in our expansive lineup.

While an OEM fuel tank might be ok for normal driving situations, there are occasions where a custom aftermarket Austin-Healey tank is more appropriate. If you are planning on taking long trips or venturing down dusty trails, added fuel capacity is always a good idea. Many companies offer large capacity fuel tanks to give your vehicle a little extra range so that you can safely make it back home without needing to refuel. There are also custom fuel tanks made for racing applications that have internal baffles and special pickups to prevent fuel starvation, and advanced safety features to reduce the risk of fire in the event of an accident. If you are planning on taking your car to the track a certified racing tank is a must have item.

Q: What is a fuel tank? Why buy one?
A: Fuel tanks, also called gas tanks, are steel or reinforced plastic tanks that hold all the fuel that your vehicle requires to get down the road. Especially in older vehicles fuel tanks are highly susceptible to corrosion and can build up grime and gunk over the years which can cause leaks, clogs and lead to poor running conditions. If you have an old or damaged fuel tank, we highly recommend replacing it with a brand new unit. A new fuel tank can restore performance by ensuring that your fuel is clean from debris and rust particles, and by making sure there are no clogs at the fuel pickup point. High-quality replacement fuel tanks are available for virtually all vehicles, so no matter what your project you are sure to find the perfect tank for your application.
