Description:
1986-1993 Mustang 5.0L Renegade Racing V-7 YSi-Trim Tuner Kit (Passenger side) (Tuner kits do not include fuel management upgrade or programming). Vortech®'s 1200 horsepower capable systems are designed for those racers competing in EFI/Renegade racing classes. Two configurations available: driver side mounted or passenger side mounted supercharger.
Both systems include a Vortech® V-7 YSi-Trim supercharger, 8-Rib / 3" Renegade supercharger pulley, and complete oil drain/feed assemblies.
Renegade Racing Driver Side System Includes:
• Dual plate billet aluminum mounting bracket assembly
• 8-Rib / 8" aluminum crank pulley assembly with drive-belt, idler, tensioner and hardware
• Cast aluminum alternator mounting bracket system
• Accessory belt idler pulley with mount
• Radiator tube & thermostat housing assembly
Renegade Racing Passenger Side System Includes:
• Dual plate billet aluminum mounting bracket assembly
• 8-Rib / 8" aluminum crank pulley
• 3 1/4" high-volume race discharge tube
• Maxflow mondo bypass valve assembly
• 4" high-flow air inlet elbow with bypass valve air-return boss
Please Note - Driver side system: Supercharger pulleys (2.70", 2.75", 2.80", 2.85", 2.95", 3.15") are available separately. This system does not include fuel or ignition system, compressor bypass valve, air filter, air inlet/discharge ducting or MAF mounting provisions. An aftermarket electric fan is recommended. However, the factory mechanical fan may be retained with minor clearance modifications.
Passenger side system: The inlet elbow adapts to the Anderson Ford Power Pipe™. Supercharger pulleys (2.70", 2.75", 2.80", 2.85", 2.95", 3.15") are available separately. This system does not include fuel or ignition assemblies, air filter or MAF mounting provisions. Installation may require an aftermarket water pump pulley for proper belt clearance. An aftermarket electric fan is recommended. However, the factory mechanical fan may be retained with minor clearance modifications.
Not Smog Legal in California - These systems are legal in California only for racing vehicles which may never be used upon a highway (off-road use only).

Q: What does a supercharger kit do? Why buy a supercharger?
A: A supercharger is a form of forced induction. Superchargers offer perhaps the most dramatic increase in horsepower to your car of any aftermarket products. By compressing the air, it lets the engine stuff more air into a cylinder. More air means that more fuel can be stuffed in, too, so you get more power from each explosion in each cylinder. A supercharger's power supply comes from a belt that connects directly to the engine. It gets its power the same way that your water pump or alternator does.
Q: How do you install a supercharger?
A: Superchargers are vehicle-specific, and they will come with everything needed for a direct bolt-on.
Q: Does a supercharger kit come with everything you need? Or is there a pre-condition my vehicle needs to meet in order to be able to handle a supercharger kit?
A: When purchasing a supercharger setup they are vehicle specific which means it will come with everything needed for a direct bolt-on. If you're looking to up the boost past the stock 6 to 8 psi that it comes with stock other modifications will need to be made.
