Description:
Turbosmart's WG40 Gen V Comp-Gate 40mm Motorsport wastegate adds a CFD-designed, real-world validated heatsink between the body and actuator, building on the standard Gen V ceramic isolator to further reduce heat transfer. The added distance, convection cooling, and physical shielding extend valve, guide, and actuator service life in endurance motorsport conditions. This 14 PSI black variant is aimed at sustained high-heat racing duty rather than street or occasional track use.

Q: What is a wastegate? Why buy a wastegate?
A: A wastegate regulates boost by allowing excess exhaust pressure to bleed off. Wastegates generally come in two different types. The first is an internal wastegate, which is controlled by a wastegate actuator and bleeds directly into the exhaust system. An external wastegate is controlled by a boost controller and can be directed to bleed either into the exhaust system or directly into the atmosphere. It's mounted wherever there's space for it. External wastegates can handle more boost, but can be too big to fit in the space next to the turbo.
Q: How do you install a wastegate?
A: Wategates are mounted onto the turbo manifold by using a flange. Basic bolting of it is needed for installation.
