Omix-Ada's replacement thermostat housing fits 53-67 CJ3B, 55-71 CJ5/CJ6, and 52-71 M38A1 models with 134ci F-Head engines. It features a cast housing with a 3-bolt mounting flange and replaces OE part 800293. For the matching gasket, order part 17117.02 separately.

When the engine is cold, no coolant flows through the engine. Once the engine reaches its operating temperature, the thermostat opens up. Aftermarket performance thermostats open up at a lower temperature than a factory unit allowing the coolant to flow through your engine sooner, reducing coolant temperatures.
