Mishimoto's 16-row universal oil cooler kit includes a stacked plate aluminum core, a billet anodized aluminum sandwich plate, pre-assembled stainless steel braided lines with -10AN fittings, and both -16 and M20-1.5 adapter fittings to cover most makes and models. A thermostatic sandwich plate option is available for cooler climates. Mishimoto backs the kit with a lifetime warranty.

A: An oil cooler is a heat exchanger for the engines motor oil. Most automatic transmissions are equipped with an oil cooler that's located inside the radiator. The engine's cooling system is usually adequate to keep oil temperatures within safe limits, but when you start modifying your motor with high performance parts, sometimes heat plays a factory.
