The 2024+ Tacoma's T24A-FTS builds heat soak under repeated load - the factory tube-and-fin intercooler loses cooling capacity across consecutive WOT runs, towing grades, and sustained trail use. The Mishimoto Intercooler and Charge Pipe Kit addresses the full charge air system in one purchase: a 55% larger bar-and-plate core paired with aluminum charge piping, DuraCore™ couplers, and constant-tension clamps, matched from intercooler to throttle body.--The bar-and-plate core cuts intake air temps by up to 36°F at wide-open throttle and delivers 30% lower pressure drop than stock, reducing turbocharger strain and maintaining boost efficiency under load. An included custom shroud directs full airflow to every row of the oversized core - no trimming required. Cast end tanks, billet aluminum ORB ports, updated mounting bushings, and an included crush washer complete the hardware package for a sealed, long-term install.--The system preserves Toyota's adaptive cruise control with no sensor relocation. Fits the 2024+ Toyota Tacoma (T24A-FTS, N400) and 2024+ Toyota Land Cruiser LC250. Available in Silver or Stealth Black intercooler finish with matching Wrinkle Black or Wrinkle Red charge pipes. Q: How do you install an intercooler?
A: Intercoolers are installed using piping kits. If there is a kit available for your car, intercoolers are placed in their desired location and piping routed to both the throttle body and the turbocharger side. Sometimes piping kits are not available and custom piping will need to be made.
Q: What is an intercooler? Why buy an intercooler?
A: Both superchargers and turbochargers heat air as they compress it. This heat can hurt the combustion process by changing the density of air entering the intake manifold from a cool charge to a hot one. An intercooler is used to lower the temperature of the air and in turn increase the density of that air, so more air can enter the cylinders and create more power.
Q: Do intercoolers work for any vehicle? Is there any pre-condition needed for me to buy an intercooler?
A: Intercoolers are sold either individually as universal cores or as kits with piping and couplers included. Turbocharged and supercharged engines can utilize intercoolers effectively while naturally aspirated vehicles do not have use for them.
