Mishimoto's 6.7L Cummins Intercooler Kit fits 2013-2018 Dodge 6.7L Cummins trucks and includes a bar-and-plate intercooler with cast aluminum end tanks, mandrel-bent 3-inch aluminum piping, DuraCore silicone boots, and constant-tension T-bolt clamps. The intercooler core is 37.8 percent larger than stock with a 76.65 percent increase in external fin surface area, proven to reduce intake air temps by 12.5 percent. This silver-core kit is backed by Mishimoto's Lifetime Warranty.

Q: How do you install an intercooler?
A: Intercoolers are installed using piping kits. If there is a kit available for your car, intercoolers are placed in their desired location and piping routed to both the throttle body and the turbocharger side. Sometimes piping kits are not available and custom piping will need to be made.

A: Both superchargers and turbochargers heat air as they compress it. This heat can hurt the combustion process by changing the density of air entering the intake manifold from a cool charge to a hot one. An intercooler is used to lower the temperature of the air and in turn increase the density of that air, so more air can enter the cylinders and create more power.
