Lakewood Traction Bar - A newly re-designed traction bar to fit all 1979-1995 Ford Mustangs including rear quad shock applications. Designed to increase traction by eliminating rear wheel hop, and engineered with an anti-dive bushing and loop system for improved braking and handling. Manufactured from quality square steel tubing and complete with snubber reinforcing plates for added chassis strength. Adjustable Link allows more precise snubber adjustment for preloading of chassis to give superior handling under various street or track conditions. No special tools or welding is required for installation and all necessary hardware is included. Made In The U.S.A.

Traction bars were originally designed for rear wheel drive vehicles with solid rear axles, and acted as an extra link to prevent the axle from twisting which could cause wheel hop and reduce traction. Now however there are a host of traction bars available for every application from front wheel drive imports to rear wheel drive muscle cars. If you are a drag racer, road racer, or just enjoy driving fast, a good traction bar setup is a must. Without traction bars you will lose precious seconds spinning your wheels, but with a good traction bar setup installed you will hook up quick and have the ultimate in car control.
