ICON's XD Forged Tie Rod Kit addresses the well-documented weakness of the factory steering tie rods on the 2010-2014 FJ Cruiser. The inner tie rod and ball stud are CNC machined from 4140 chromoly with metal-on-metal bearing surfaces, replacing the plastic inner races of the stock units. Adjustment threads are 12% larger in diameter than stock, and the forged steel outer tie rod retains the stock profile for compatibility with factory and aftermarket wheels. The greaseable tie rod end matches the stock operating angle range for a direct swap.
