The shocks feature patented digressive valving which allows our engineers independent tuning of the compression and rebound damping forces to provide optimum ride comfort and performance without compromise. High pressure nitrogen gas in a precision extruded mono tube body virtually eliminates the possibility of oil foaming or performance loss. These shocks have been tuned by Hotchkis for optimum performance and are paired up to laser cut, TIG welded relocation brackets, increasing the shocks efficiency from factory placement. This system is designed to work on truck lowered between 2 & 4 using springs. Bolt a set on today and feel the ride you have been missing.

The HPS 1000 shock is designed like all other Hotchkis Performance parts, it's designed to perform. Shocks need to be tuned with spring rates and vehicle weights in mind, that's why one valve fit's all or universal shocks just don't optimize performance.

A: Struts/shocks both have the same job by dampening the kinetic energy of suspension travel. Struts perform two jobs: They provide a dampening function like shock absorbers, and they provide structural support for the vehicles suspension. That means that the struts deliver a bit more than shock absorbers, which don't support vehicle weight but control the speed at which weight is transferred in a vehicle. Either way, your options are limited to what is available for your car.

A: Shock absorbers (shocks) are a device that controls spring motion through dampening. A shock absorber slows down and reduces the vibrations created by imperfections in the roadway.
