Q: How do you install transmission mounts?
A: Transmission mounts are should be left to the pros as removal of the engine and transmission is needed. Mounts are usually reinstalled along with motor mounts at the same time since they're easily accessible once the engine is pulled.

A: A transmission mount is what your transmission sits on. Usually manufactured using rubber to negate engine and transmission vibrations and chatter, rubber begins to deteriorate after continual use. Transmissions with failed mounts will usually allow the transmission to rise during acceleration and slam back down during braking creating a loud clunking noise.
