Q: What are hood dampers? Why buy them?
A: Hood dampers are miniature gas pressurized shocks that are used to support your hood when it is open, and to prevent it from slamming down when you go to close it. These supports are simple in design but perform an important task. Overtime lift supports can lose their charge so that they can no longer fully support the weight of your hood.
