Q: What is a steering column? Why buy one?
A: The steering column is the portion of your vehicle that supports the steering wheel and attaches it to your steering box or rack and pinion setup. Steering columns have bearings and bushings inside that can wear out over time leading to looseness and vibrations in the steering wheel. If you are feeling any of these symptoms in your ride it is time to look into a replacement steering column. A new unit will restore precision to your vehicle giving a crisp and tight steering feel. In addition there are several steering column accessories that can be added to your ride if you are looking for a custom setup.
