Q: What are ignition coils? Why buy them?
A: Ignition coils are the crucial electronic component that supplies the energy to allow your distributor to provide spark to your engine. A bad ignition coil can cause a host of running problems from high-speed misses to total engine failure. When in doubt it is always a good idea to swap out to a new coil. If you are looking for ways to improve your ride, one sure fire way to boost performance and efficiency is to upgrade to a high performance coil. With more reliable spark output you will get the most out of every compression stroke and minimize the amount of unburned fuel going through your engine. With a stronger more reliable spark you will not only feel improvements in power but also see a noticeable improvement in throttle response. High-performance coils are one of the first modifications you should consider when upgrading your vehicle’s ignition.
