Edelbrock's RPM Air-Gap intake manifold (part #7581-BP) is designed for street and high-performance 351-427 c.i.d. 351W Ford V8 applications and features a black plasma finish. The Air-Gap design uses an open air space to separate the runners from hot engine oil, producing a cooler, denser charge. Larger runner cross-sections and a taller carb flange than the #7181 make it compatible with large-displacement and stroker 351W builds, and bosses for nitrous and rear water crossover are included.

A: It depends on whether your car is carbureted or fuel injected, but either way, the good news is that it's located on the top end of the engine and therefore is easily accessible and won't require you to mess with any internals to change it out.

A: Air is routed through the air filter, through the throttle body or carburetor, and into the intake manifold. Once the air is inside the intake manifold it's distributed to each of the cylinders in equal parts.
