Edelbrock's Performer RPM Vortec intake manifold (part #7116) is a single four-barrel design built for 262-400 c.i.d. Chevy V8s running 1996-and-later Vortec L31 cast iron or E-Tec aluminum heads. It targets street rod, marine, and engine swap applications in the 1500-6500 RPM range and accepts square-bore carbs only. Will not fit under a stock Corvette hood.

Q: How do you install an intake manifold?
A: It depends on whether your car is carbureted or fuel injected, but either way, the good news is that it's located on the top end of the engine and therefore is easily accessible and won't require you to mess with any internals to change it out.

Once the air is inside the intake manifold it's distributed to each of the cylinders in equal parts.
