Edelbrock's Performer EPS intake manifold (part #2701-CP) is a dual-plane, low-rise design for 1986 and earlier 262-400 cubic-inch Chevrolet engines, finished in a durable chrome plasma coating. The 180-degree firing order layout is tuned for peak torque at 3500 rpm on a 350-inch engine, with a usable powerband from off-idle to 5500 rpm. Dyno testing showed gains of 5 hp and 9 ft-lbs of torque over Edelbrock's Performer #2101. Optimized for Edelbrock EPS or AVS2 carburetors, though any 4150-style carb will fit. Note: will not fit under a stock Corvette hood.

Q: What is an intake manifold? Why buy an intake manifold?
A: Air is routed through the air filter, through the throttle body or carburetor, and into the intake manifold. Once the air is inside the intake manifold it's distributed to each of the cylinders in equal parts. In order to increase the capacity of the intake manifold so that it carries more air into the motor for combustion, many people buy performance intake manifolds that incorporate a larger chamber where the air collects into the manifold. More air equals more power. So if you want more horsepower, an intake manifold is a great way to go about getting it.
