Edelbrock's Performer RPM Top End Kit (part #2087) is designed for 1968-79 Big-Block Chrysler 440 V-8 engines and produced 482 HP and 528 lb-ft of torque at 9.27:1 compression. The kit covers a 1,500-6,500 rpm street range and includes an RPM Air-Gap intake manifold, Performer RPM cylinder heads, hydraulic cam and lifters, timing chain, bolt kits, and a gasket set.

Q: What are cylinder heads? Why buy them?
A: The cylinder head is the top portion of an engine, sometimes referred to as the top end, which contains the intake and exhaust valves and is responsible for regulating the flow of air into the motor and exhaust out of the motor. The more air that can flow through the cylinder head the more power your engine will produce. Aftermarket cylinder heads have been designed with better port angles and numerous other improvements to increase flow and efficiency and thus improve performance. If you are looking to increase your vehicle’s performance a high-flow cylinder head will make one of the largest differences. Stock cylinder head designs can be very restrictive, so simply switching to an aftermarket head can transform your ride into a high performance machine. If you are doing an engine overhaul we highly recommend looking into adding a high-flow cylinder head.
