Edelbrock's EDE carbureted fuel pressure regulator is machined from aircraft-quality aluminum and features a fluorosilicone internal diaphragm for high-temperature protection and extended service life. It handles 160 GPH at 5-10 PSI through 3/8-inch in/out ports and is compatible with gasoline, ethanol, methanol, and E85. Developed for optimum compatibility with Edelbrock electric fuel pumps.

A: The fuel pressure regulator regulates the fuel pressure that goes into the engine. The car's computer does not control the fuel pressure regulator; it is controlled by the engines vacuum. Depending whether the idle is high or low the fuel pressure regulator opens and closes giving more or less fuel. With a high performance motor, an adjustable fuel pressure regulator is needed to increase the amount of fuel given to the engine since larger injectors and fuel pump will be utilized.
