Description:
Edelbrock's Stage 1 Street supercharger kit for the 2014-2015 Corvette Z51 LT1 uses an Eaton Gen VI 2300 TVS assembly to push output to 624 hp and 600 ft-lbs at the flywheel. The four-lobe rotor with 160 degrees of twist maximizes flow while keeping intake temps down, and an integrated bypass valve reduces parasitic loss at light throttle. An air-to-water intercooler and low-temp heat exchanger handle charge cooling, and the kit is 50-state emissions legal. The included tune is calibrated for stock vehicles with a cat-back exhaust only.

A: A supercharger is a form of forced induction. Superchargers offer perhaps the most dramatic increase in horsepower to your car of any aftermarket products. By compressing the air, it lets the engine stuff more air into a cylinder. More air means that more fuel can be stuffed in, too, so you get more power from each explosion in each cylinder. A supercharger's power supply comes from a belt that connects directly to the engine. It gets its power the same way that your water pump or alternator does.
