Eagle's EAG series crankshafts are forged from 4340 chromoly steel with center counterweights for stability at high RPM. A non-twist forging process, .125 inches fillet radiuses, nitrided surface, and micropolished journals round out the spec. Note that chamfered or narrowed bearings are required due to the fillet radius size.

Q: What is a crankshaft? Why buy one?
A: The crankshaft is at the heart of your motor. It spins round and round driving the pistons up and down and directing power to the rest of the drivetrain. Over time your crankshaft can wear out at the bearing surfaces to the point where you will require an entirely new crank. Replacement crankshafts are available so that you can properly rebuild your motor and restore your vehicle’s performance. Stroker crankshafts are also available and feature a longer stroke for the connecting rods which effectively increases engine displacement and can drastically boost horsepower and torque. In addition to the crank itself there are also crank accessories that may need replacing such as woodruff keys, thrust washers, and crankshaft seals. We carry all of these components as well to ensure that you get the job done right the first time.
