Cometic's Ford Essex 3.0L head gasket is a multi-layer steel unit built from three to five layers of stainless steel for strength, rebound, and corrosion resistance. The outer layers are embossed and coated with Viton rubber rated to 250 degrees C, handling a wide range of surface finishes and load conditions.
