Cometic's MLS head gasket for the 78-98 Volvo B23 is built from multiple embossed stainless steel layers with Viton-coated outer layers, running a 0.040 inch compressed thickness. No sealants required, and the construction handles both aluminum-to-aluminum and aluminum-to-cast-iron pairings.
