Cognito's Idler Arm Support for Chevy/GMC 1500 trucks and SUVs replaces the failure-prone OEM idler pivot with a hardened alloy steel shaft and tapered roller bearings, and includes a weld-in gusset to reinforce the frame tabs. The OEM pivot is known to bend the shaft and frame tabs, which raises the drag link and creates excessive tie rod angles leading to premature wear and poor steering control.
