APR Performance's high-pressure fuel pump for the 2007-2008 Audi RS4 B7 is machined to tolerances as tight as .00004 inches and assembled in a clean environment to prevent premature failure. The plunger and barrel are certified heat-treated bearing-grade stainless steel, with a diamond-like coating on the plunger for surface hardness. A properly specified spring prevents plunger float, all internal seals are replaced, and the factory pivoting head is retained to reduce cam follower wear.
