APR's Advanced Street front brake pads are a direct OE replacement upgrade for the Golf R and GTI, engineered to resist fade at temperatures well beyond stock pads while keeping thermal conductivity low enough to protect calipers, seals, and fluid. The high friction coefficient is tuned to extract grip from street tires without triggering premature lockup, and cold response and disc wear are both kept in check - traits a race pad typically can't claim on a street car.
