AEM Tru-Time Adjustable Cam Gears let you advance or retard cam timing in one-degree increments via laser-etched markings, without swapping camshafts. They're a strong fit for milled, forced-induction, high-compression, or aftermarket-cam builds, and precision-cut teeth with hard-anodized surfaces resist premature belt wear.

AEM Tru-Time Adjustable Cam Gears are used by top racing teams across the country and are a must for engines that are milled, forced induction, high compression and/or utilizing aftermarket competition cams. AEM gears enable users to match cam timing with their vehicle's tuning state by advancing or retarding the cam profile in one-degree increments via true laser-etched markings. Precision-cut gear teeth ensure no premature wearing of the belt surface and AEM's anodizing on the gear teeth is lab-test-proven to be the hardest anodizing process on the market.
Q: How do you install cam gears?
A: Installation should be left to the pros on this one since timing will be involved. If you plan on doing it yourself, removal of the upper timing belt cover will need to be done to reveal the cam gears. The valve cover along with the camshafts will need to be removed. Once this is done, replace the factory cam gears with your new ones and reinstall onto your camshaft. Make sure when you remove and reinstall the camshafts and cam gears they are at top dead center (TDC). Replace everything as you removed them and re-time your vehicle.

A: Cam gears are sold individually unless otherwise noted. Depending on whether your vehicle is a single overhead cam (SOHC) or a dual overhead cam (DOHC), you will need one or two cam gears.
