Everyone has heard the old adage "there's no substitute for cubic inches". Nothing will achieve this easier, and for less cost, than the installation of a Ford Big Block 429 or 460 engine into your Mustang. The Accufab 460 Swap allows a 429/460 engine to be installed into any 1979 through 1993 Mustang or FOX chassis vehicle.
Available parts include custom tubular and insulated engine mounts which will position the engine as low in the chassis and as rearward as possible.
Engine Mounts Solid - These custom engine mounts allow the 429-460 Ford "Big Block" to be installed into any Fox chassis vehicle. They are designed to bolt the engine to the 1979-1993 OEM K-member (any V8, V6 or 4-cylinder K-member but not the straight six K-member). They are a solid design and are recommended for all out racing only. Will also work with most aftermarket tubular K-members.

A: Motor mounts are should be left to the pros as removal of the engine is needed. Mounts are usually reinstalled along with transmission mounts at the same time since they're easily accessible once the engine is pulled.

A: Motor mounts are what your engine sits on. Usually manufactured using rubber to combat engine vibrations and chatter, rubber begins to deteriorate after continual use. Engines with failed mounts will usually allow the engine to rise during acceleration and slam back down on the front member during braking, creating a loud thud. Replacing these keeps your car in balance.
