The spoiler, or rear fin on a Trans Am/Firebird can reveal many things such as: the year, engine type, edition type or model. Spoilers have had a variety of lettering types, pictures, color schemes and layout.
 1970, simple smaller lettering, two tone color.  1973, simple smaller lettering |
 1974, Trans Am  1974, similar to 70-73, with larger lettering. |
