79 10th Anniv Trans Am

1979 Tenth Anniversary Trans Am

This is a 79 10th Anniversary Trans Am I didn't own very long, but it was a pretty good car overall. It had the standard 403, 2.73 posi and it was a complete car, just really beat up. It was a CA car, had no rust and had all the emissions equipment on it (a must to register any car in CA not older than 73.) Have all the equipment on it usually means no one has been inside the motor. It had 144,000 miles on it and even with a 2.73 rear end, it could still spin those rear tires off the line.

I had to get a cheap paint job on the car, as having it sit anywhere near my house would get it towed or strange looks from the neighbors due to how bad it looked. To get it road worthy, I put the stock rims back on it, pulled all the extra stereo wiring out of it, got a few gauges working correctly, replaced door pins, carpet and other little things. It even passed emissions!.

I did end up selling it just after the paint job due to not really having the right garage space to work on the car. No, the paint job wasn't that great at all, but it didn't look like an abandoned vehicle and looked a lot better than it did before.
