Spark Plug Wires
Are spark plug wires the same thing as ignition wires?
Ignition wires are another term used for spark plug wires. They are two terms that mean exactly the same thing.
What are spark plug wires? Why purchase spark plug wires?
Factory spark plug wires deliver voltage to your spark plugs. Sport spark plug wires deliver a hotter, more powerful, and longer spark to the spark plugs, resulting in more power while reducing the chance for misfires and eliminating radio static.
How do you install spark plug wires?
Spark plug wires take seconds to install. After removing your factory spark plug wires from the valve cover and distributor, you simply replace them with your new ones. 4-cyl motors have 4 spark plug wires; 6-cyl motors have 6 spark plug wires, and so on.
Why To Buy?:
New spark plug wires will help restore your ignition system to its former glory, giving your ride the performance it deserves. Whether buying OE-spec or aftermarket spark plug wires, they are a maintenance item and should therefore be replaced periodically to ensure that your ignition is working at its maximum effectiveness. It's also a good idea to replace your spark plugs at the same time since the wires will already be out of the way.
Did You Know?:
Improving performance can often be accomplished by installing a fresh set of spark plug wires. As your spark plug wires deteriorate over time, they become less effective and stop delivering "clean" voltage to your plugs, which results in electromagnetic interference, hesitation, missing, poor idle, and a loss in fuel economy. New spark plug wires are available in stock configurations, as well as high-performance versions for increased power, torque, and noise suppression.
