Exhaust Manifolds
What is an exhaust manifold? Why buy one?
The exhaust manifold in your car is connected to the head and is the starting point of your exhaust system. Usually, aftermarket exhaust manifolds are referred to as 'headers'. Buying an aftermarket exhaust manifold can give you great horsepower and torque gains since they are made with wider diameter piping and are specifically designed to increase the air flow through your exhaust chamber.
Why To Buy?:
Exhaust manifolds are proven power-adders, and are one of the most traditional ways of getting more performance out of our vehicles. They are an integral part of automotive performance, and will help make the most of your free-flowing cat-back exhaust system. Please be aware that not all exhaust manifolds are 50-state emissions legal, so check your local laws if you plan to use a non-compliant exhaust manifold on the street.
Did You Know?:
Factory exhaust manifolds are often very restrictive and are usually quite heavy as well. An aftermarket exhaust manifold separates the exhaust ports, speeding up exhaust evacuation and reducing backpressure. Increasing exhaust flow allows your engine to rev more freely, and improves power and torque. After installing a header, you will experience better throttle response, and usually lower under-hood temperatures.
