HONDA PRELUDE GREDDY EXHAUST INSTALLATION

The Greddy SP Catback Exhaust is one of the nicer exhausts around. We show you step by Step how to install a Greddy SP Cat-back Exhaust on a 1999 Honda Prelude. Work was done at Motorsport Techniques in Hayward, California.

This is the car with the factory exhaust system. As you can see it is pretty plain-looking.

When installing the exhaust system the first step is to jack up the car. Make sure that you use jack stands while using a jack. If the jack fails your stands will help save you.

You can notice to rubber pieces connected to the frame that hold up the rear of the exhaust pipe.

Next up, remove the bolts from the frame. Their are usually just two bolts that hold the stock exhaust in place.

Now remove the two bolts from the piping that hold the exhaust to the catalytic system.

The factory exhaust system is fatter than most people realize!

As you can see here, the spring housing is removed.

Here you can see the stock catalytic converter, also known as the "cat". The cat helps reduce noise and control emissions.

Now Tom is finding the bolts that hold the cat in place.

Alrighty, here is the box that houses new Greddy SP.

The piping comes in two pieces, so it must be put together. As seen here they are putting in the gaskets before putting it on the car.

Nice and shiny. It's stainless steel and so it won't rust.

The installation is just the reversal of taking it off. This is definitely easier with two people.

Here is just a quick close up of the finished Product. Greddy SP
