2007 TOYOTA YARIS DC SPORTS COLD AIR INTAKE INSTALL
- Just received my DC Sports cold air intake for my '07 Toyota Yaris.
- Step 1: Remove front bumper cover by removing black plastic retainers along the bumper line and five bolts underneath connecting bumper to splash shields.
- Step 2: Finish removing front bumper cover by gently prying around the edges of the headlight and along the fender line. Be careful not to break the retainers along the headlamp as this vehicle already had one broken.
- Step 3: Unclip the vacuum switching solenoid from the intake tube and position it out of the way as it will be relocated at the end of the install.
- Step 4: Disconnect the crankcase breather hose from the intake tube and position out of the way.
- Step 5: Loosen the clamps at each end of the intake tube and remove the tube from the vehicle.
- Step 6: Unplug the harness plug from the mass air flow sensor.
- Step 7: Unclip and remove upper section of the airbox from the lower section. Be sure to set the upper piece aside as you will need to remove the mass air flow sensor.
- Step 8: Locate and remove the two 10mm bolts in the lower half of the airbox and remove from the vehicle.
- Step 9: Locate and remove the two 12mm bolts from the airbox mount and remove from vehicle.
- Step 10: Using a Phillips screwdriver, remove the two screws and the mass air flow sensor from the factory airbox.
- Step 11: Using the provided allen screws and allen wrench, install the mass air flow sensor into the DC Sports intake pipe.
- Step 12: Install the 2.25" coupler onto the intake pipe along with the two provided clamps. Next, remove the middle splash shield from under the vehicle and position the intake pipe into place. Loosely connect the intake pipe to the throttle body. Do not tighten the clamps at this time.
- Step 13: Install the vibration damper between the intake mount and the body of the car. Using the provided 10mm nut and washer, fasten the intake bracket to the vibration damper.
- Step 14: Install the crankcase breather hose to the intake pipe as well as plugging in the mass air flow sensor. At this time, tighten the clamps securing the intake to the throttle body.
- Step 15: Install the air filter on the intake pipe using the two provided clamps.
- Step 16: Re-route the vacuum switching solenoid under the intake and secure with the provided zip tie.
- Step 17: Check all wiring connections and clamps. Start the vehicle and make sure everything is functioning properly. Reverse procedure for bumper cover installation.
