Pushing the boundaries for car design-concepts for automobiles
Every year, students, car designers and big manufacturers create the unique future of land transportation with concept cars. These concept cars are innovative, fresh and unique designs that tickle the minds of the public and allow engineers to defy odds about the possibilities in modern innovation. As such, some modern car parts and accessories could have been inspired by these unique concepts to push the boundaries of what the present technology could offer. Just last year, some promising ideas about the future of land transportation have been presented by various car manufacturers and designers to create a more promising future for car manufacturing.
Aviation
The concept of aviation has been a very strong element for concept cars last year. A design was inspired with the use of aviation elements to give the driver advanced innovations in car design by focusing on advanced engineering methods, high tech components as well as a range of other additions to give road travel a touch of sophistication and breathe it the spirit of aviation. One example of this innovation would have to be the B7 Hi-Speed Hybrid that has been designed to be very fast, lightweight, agile and high tech. The design is more ideal for racing cars compared to commercial cars but elements of this could be promising for modern drivers.
Multi-terrain
The concept of multi-terrain driving is not a new thing, unless you consider water and air as additional aspects that the driver can invade. This might require the driver multiple licenses to drive the craft, but the idea of having removable components to transform a car to a functional hovering craft or boat has great appeal especially for those who would like to make driving a lot more fun. One concept is the Halo Inspector. Though the idea of traveling in any terrain is promising, its practicality and cost effectiveness could be a big concern. Nonetheless, this could give designers ideas as to how they can create water travel-safe cars.
Improved range of vision
Cars have blind spots and especially when driving in the dark, it could be very difficult to be safe with your car offering limited range of vision. What if there is a material that can be used to have the strength of metal, but allow the users inside to see what is outside? This material can help minimize accidents due to blond spots. Imagine a material that allows you to still offer security and privacy from the outside while inside, you can drive without worrying about road risks and other possible issues. The Mobius concept car may have some very promising ideas and innovations but such innovation in the car frame could still take a pretty long time to construct but there is always the benefit of the doubt and possibilities are always present.
Energy efficiency
Solar panels are always being pushed as effective innovations for cars but for the most part, it is normally used only for single passenger vehicles. It is ideal if solar power can be used to drive a much bigger car. In fact, why not design a truck? The Volvo Skylon is a unique scale model concept with full solar panel roof and the car runs on electricity from the solar energy.
