Bosal muffler dimensions: 10" long, 5" diameter.
  What is a muffler? Why buy a muffler?  
  A muffler is the tail end on your car’s exhaust system, and it affects the sound your car makes and the power it generates. Mufflers are used to create backpressure, which subtracts a bit of power from the motor but increases torque. Free flowing mufflers not only sound great, but they also reduce backpressure and enhance performance gains throughout the RPM band.  
     
  Can any muffler be installed on any vehicle?  
  Mufflers are universal by shape and can be used on any car.  
     
  How do you install a muffler?  
  Most mufflers need to be welded on, which normally entails taking your truck to an exhaust shop to get installed.
