Swapping out your original Fortwo trunk lid with a lightweight aftermarket trunk is a great way to even out your ride's weight distribution if it happens to be a bit back-heavy. In many cases, you'll have to disconnect your factory Fortwo trunk springs or struts so that your trunk doesn't fly open if it's equipped with a remote trunk release.
