Either way, a new Cougar trunk will breathe new life into your ride's rear end. Wait, something about breathing and rear ends doesn't quite sound right, but trust us - it's a good thing!

Swapping out your original Cougar trunk lid with a lightweight aftermarket trunk is a great way to even out your ride's weight distribution if it happens to be a bit back-heavy. In many cases, you'll have to disconnect your factory Cougar trunk springs or struts so that your trunk doesn't fly open if it's equipped with a remote trunk release.
